āratī śrī gāyatrī mā kī (2)

manase kare saba sumiran mātā (2)

hilajai jīvana kāmala kī bhāti (2)

All glories to Gayatri Ma! When we meditate and sincerely pray to You we would be able to live life like that of a lotus, unaffected by the play of Maya.

aki-yana saṁmuka saji-rahe muraka (2)

pañca mukhi kī daśa bhuja kī (2)

Ignorant are the ones who simply drink with their senses the beauty of Your form. (five faces and ten arms)

sadhana siddhi dhāna sama vidhi (2)

milajaye saba kuca nahina rahe bhāti (2)

Without Your Grace we will not be able to get good fortune, wealth, occult powers and the desire to do spiritual practices.

bhava sāgara se nīlavai mukti (2)

āmṛta dhāraṇā dayā sarita kī (2)

You grant us freedom from the ocean of Maya. You are the compassionate One and will grant us Amrit (liberation).

carano me mā ke kare hum arpaṇa (2)

citta kī jorti de hāī kī bhāti (2)

Oh Mother Gayatri, we surrender at Your Lotus Feet. May Your Grace kindly illumine our consciousness.

oṁ bhūr bhuvar suvaḥ

tat savitur vareṇyaṁ

bhargo devasya dhīmahi

dhiyo yo naḥ pracodayāt

Oh Divine Mother, we meditate on Thee as the Supreme Light that illumines the earth, the sky and the heavens, the adorable Sun of Divine Consciousness that illumines the Devas and dissipates all darkness and ignorance. Through Thy Grace may You enlighten our intellect and awaken the same brilliant Divine Light in us.
